The strategic merger consolidates both RaiseNow and Altruja’s offerings, meeting growing demands for a single end-to-end fundraising provider to better serve the needs of nonprofit organizations in the DACH market.


RaiseNow, fundraising technology leader headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, with an active Berlin office, today announced that it is merging with Altruja, a fundraising technology company specialized in the growth of digital fundraising in Germany and Austria. Together, Altruja and RaiseNow present a powerful combination that will forge deeper and more effective connections between people and the causes that they support.

As digital fundraising gathers momentum, organizations have started to leverage social networks by empowering individual supporters to fundraise on their behalf. Known as “peer-to-peer fundraising”, this approach activates communities to maximize the impact of campaigns, bringing huge potential and new opportunities to the scene. Since 2010, Altruja has been driving peer-to-peer fundraising in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, serving over 1.000 nonprofit organizations.

 

The Road Ahead

The alliance will enhance RaiseNow’s peer-to-peer feature set. Likewise, it provides Altruja with robust customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities through RaiseNow’s integration with Salesforce - a solution increasingly embraced by charities in Germany and Austria. This union positions both RaiseNow and Altruja to better serve the DACH market.

The two companies can expect definitive agreements to be completed later this year, with the deal subject to customary closing and financing arrangements before then. RaiseNow and Altruja will announce their full integration strategy once it is complete.
