"Flexible to use everywhere"

What is your club about?

We are a club in Altikon (ZH), which offers gymnastics disciplines in the different squads adapted to every age. Wherever possible, we try to cultivate camaraderie and sociability. You can perform with us, but it is not a requirement.

 

What challenges led you to RaiseNow?

In Covid times, cash should be avoided for hygiene reasons, and alternative payment methods are becoming more popular too. So we started thinking about how we could implement cashless payments here. RaiseNow TWINT seemed like a good option. Plus, it's easier for everyone working at the checkout: no change is needed and no cash has to be carried to the bank later.

 

Which RaiseNow TWINT QR solutions do you use?

We mostly use QR codes with free amount selection; not the fixed amount variant.

 

Where have you used them?

For the second year in a row, we were chosen to organize the final round of the 3rd league WTU in Altikon. Like last year, the weather played along splendidly. All games were conducted in beautiful weather and our restaurant was busy.

 

It was the first time for everyone in the organizing committee to offer TWINT as a payment method at this event, and we were curious to see how it would be received by our visitors. Our cashier used RaiseNow to create the QR code for the cash register and also made it known on the visitors' tables that they could pay with TWINT.

What challenges did you face?

In the run-up to the event, we wondered whether our mobile connectivity would be sufficient for the digital transactions. But a quick test quickly showed that we were well covered.

 

What do you like about RaiseNow TWINT?

It is a very flexible payment option and can be used anywhere easily. For the skilled user, payment is as fast as with cash, and there's no need for a thick wallet full of cards that you could potentially lose. Also, you will never run out of money in your pocket, and you can pay for a round of drinks without having to go to the cash register.

 

The advantages were also reflected in our accounting, we received as many payments via TWINT as with cash during the event. In addition, the cashier was pleased when he was able to assign the transactions directly to the correct payment account without any additional effort. RaiseNow allows campaigns and subcategories to be assigned to an individual QR code.

 

Thus, trying out this new payment method was successful for us. We will definitely use it for future activities.

 

Do you have any tips for other clubs?

I recommend that clubs mention the possibility of TWINT payments clearly in the event invitation, and to generate a separate QR code for each point of sale in order to keep track of everything.

 

What do you have planned as the next big project or campaign where you will use RaiseNow TWINT QR?

If Covid doesn't get in our way, we would like to host the final round of 3rd and 4th division fistball at our facility. Like previous times, we want to use RaiseNow to create the QR codes for the festival restaurant to offer the possibility of TWINT payments.
