To open a PayPal account for a non-profit organization, various information and documents are required. PayPal holds a full banking license in Luxembourg and is subject to European law. PayPal accounts must be fully verified, and a Know Your Business (KYB) process is initiated. In addition to the organization (legal entity), an individual must be named as the account holder. It is recommended to designate an authorized representative of the organization as the account holder. The following are necessary:
- Name, address, phone number, and email of the organization
- Name, date of birth, address, and phone number of the account holder
- Proof of non-profit status
- Articles of association and certificate of incorporation of the organization
- Bank account details for linking to the PayPal account
- Valid photo identification of the account holder
- Description of activities and intended use of the collected funds
- All information must be accurate and complete to avoid delays
